| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the |
| 3 |
| cornerstones upon
which our society is built, and a marriage |
| 4 |
| that has achieved a notable
longevity is truly a model for the |
| 5 |
| people of the State of Illinois; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs. Ken |
| 7 |
| Cappel recently celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their
|
| 8 |
| marriage; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Ken and Dolores Cappel were united in
holy |
| 10 |
| matrimony on April 29, 1956, at St. Barbara's Church in |
| 11 |
| Bridgeport; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Kevin (wife, |
| 13 |
| Michelle) and Jeff and the
proud grandparents of Lauren; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its |
| 15 |
| highest plateaus
when a couple such as Ken and Dolores |
| 16 |
| celebrate their golden
wedding anniversary; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Ken and Dolores stand as examples of the best of |
| 18 |
| our
society, and their love and devotion to each other and to |
| 19 |
| their family and
friends serve as a reminder to all that hard |
| 20 |
| work, dedication, and love can
make a difference in today's |
| 21 |
| world; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Ken Cappel on the
occasion of |

| their fiftieth wedding anniversary, and we commend them for

| achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with
children and |

| grandchildren and rich in friendships; and be it further
