| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the |
| 3 |
| cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage |
| 4 |
| that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for the |
| 5 |
| people of the State of Illinois; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the members of the |
| 7 |
| Illinois House of Representatives that Carlos and Kym Hemphill |
| 8 |
| will celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage |
| 9 |
| on October 31, 2006; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Carlos and Kym were united in holy matrimony on |
| 11 |
| October, 31, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois; they are the loving |
| 12 |
| parents of Carlos James II, Carsa Jamene, Christopher James, |
| 13 |
| Craig James, Cordero James, and Cyle James; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Carlos and Kym stand as examples of the best of |
| 15 |
| our society, and their love and devotion to each other and to |
| 16 |
| their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard |
| 17 |
| work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's |
| 18 |
| world; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 |
| we congratulate Carlos and Kym on the occasion of their |
| 22 |
| twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, and we commend them for |
| 23 |
| achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children and |
| 24 |
| rich in friendships; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem |
| 27 |
| and with our best wishes for happiness and good health in the |
| 28 |
| future.
