HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives of citizens of the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Boots Gilbert is retiring from the Coles County Clerk's Office on November 30, 2006; and

WHEREAS, She has served as Deputy County Clerk, Chief Recorder, and is currently the Chief Deputy County Clerk and Recorder; and

WHEREAS, She started with the Clerk's Office in June of 1973; in her time in the office, she has recorded and preserved nearly 12,000 documents a year; and

WHEREAS, Boots Gilbert will enjoy her retirement, giving her time to spend with her family, including her daughter, Bett Ostrem; her grandchildren, Heather, Jaime, Shannon, Jason, and Jeremy; her great-grandchildren, Garren, Devon, Derrick, Matteson, and Zachary; and

WHEREAS, According to her daughter, Boots Gilbert is one of the most conscientious, loyal, and considerate people one would ever meet; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Boots Gilbert on her retirement and wish her continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Boots Gilbert.
