| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The Martin Health Center in Bloomington, part of |
| 3 |
| Westminister Village, celebrated its 25th anniversary on March |
| 4 |
| 1, 2005, with an open house; continuing the celebration, |
| 5 |
| Westminister Village is hosting an April Fools Party on April |
| 6 |
| 1, 2005, to celebrate the day the first residents arrived at |
| 7 |
| the Center; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The Center first opened March 1, 1980, with |
| 9 |
| Westminister Village celebrating the opening with the |
| 10 |
| community by hosting a "walk-thru"; the Center did not receive |
| 11 |
| patients until April 1, after approval by the Illinois |
| 12 |
| Department of Public Health; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, When the Center opened, it was a 78-bed facility |
| 14 |
| that averaged 15 to 16 patients; it is a licensed facility |
| 15 |
| certified for Medicare; the experienced and well-trained |
| 16 |
| medical staff, RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants, provide |
| 17 |
| around-the-clock care and are on call when routine or medical |
| 18 |
| help is needed; planned activities provide opportunities of |
| 19 |
| value and interest to the patients; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we congratulate the Martin Health Center on the occasion of its |
| 23 |
| 25th anniversary and wish the owners and staff many more |
| 24 |
| rewarding years in business; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to the Martin Health Center as an expression of our |
| 27 |
| esteem.
