HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to honor citizens who have achieved recognition for their hard work; and

WHEREAS, Mr. David Peek is a recipient of a Spotlight on Achievement Award given by the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library Literacy Office and the Illinois Press Association; the Spotlight on Achievement Award recognizes outstanding progress made by literacy students or families; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Peek is a literacy student from Kaskaskia College; he will receive the Spotlight on Achievement Award during ceremonies held on May 20, 2005; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mr. David Peek on receiving a Spotlight on Achievement Award given by the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library Literacy Office and the Illinois Press Association, and we applaud the hard work required to receive such an honor; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Peek as an expression of our respect and esteem.
