HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ricardo L. Tate of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He was born September 24, 1952 in Chicago, and attended grammar and high school on the south side of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He graduated from Harvard College in 1974 with an A.B. degree in economics; he received a J.D. degree from the University of Chicago in 1980 and was admitted to the practice of law in Illinois in 1980; and

WHEREAS, He served as an administrative law judge for the State of Illinois Human Rights Commission since 1996; prior to that, he was a staff/supervisory attorney for the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He was affiliated with the Federal Trial Bar, Northern District of Illinois; Illinois Judicial Council; American Bar Association; and the Cook County Bar Association; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Ricardo L. Tate will be felt by all who knew and loved him; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ricardo L. Tate and we extend to his family and friends our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
