HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Robert Schueler of Centralia has donated $860,000 to St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Schueler's donation is the biggest contribution the hospital has received since its establishment in 1909; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Schueler, originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has lived in Centralia for 10 years; and

WHEREAS, He has made medical facility donations elsewhere in the past, and helping St. Mary's Hospital helps those who need it; and

WHEREAS, The donation will help the hospital begin a third phase of work in its continuing expansion and renovation of its Centralia campus; the third phase will include construction of a one-day surgery facility; completion of phase three could take a year; and

WHEREAS, A plaque will be placed in the waiting room after the third phase of the work is completed that recognizes Mr. Schueler's generous donation that, in part, made the same-day surgery facility possible; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we wish to thank Robert Schueler for his very generous philanthropic effort on behalf of St. Mary's Hospital and the people of the Centralia community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Robert Schueler as an expression of our utmost respect and esteem.
