HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Esther O'Halloran of Casey on the occasion of her 107th birthday on September 13, 2005; and

WHEREAS, The occasion of a 107th birthday is an exceptionally splendid one and calls for great celebration; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. O'Halloran was born September 13, 1898, in West Union, and has lived all of her life in the Clark County area; she had eight siblings and a happy childhood; she married when she was in her 20s; and

WHEREAS, She received her B.S. degree and became a school teacher; she taught all subjects in a one-room school house; and

WHEREAS, The most exciting time in her life was a three-month trip abroad; she attributes her longevity to being brought up in the country where they ate good healthy food that they grew themselves; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we heartily congratulate Esther O'Halloran on her 107th birthday and wish her continued health and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Esther O'Halloran as an expression of our admiration and high regard.
