| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, On October 20 and 21, 2005, the One Church One |
| 3 |
| School Community Partnership Program will host the Tenth Annual |
| 4 |
| Partnership Conference; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The One Church One School Community Partnership |
| 6 |
| Program is committed to teaching our children to value life and |
| 7 |
| to value learning; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The founder of the One Church One School Community |
| 9 |
| Partnership Program, Bishop Henry M. Williamson, Sr. has |
| 10 |
| demonstrated a strong commitment to expanding economic and |
| 11 |
| educational opportunities for our children; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The participants and members of One Church One |
| 13 |
| School Community Partnership Program are to be commended for |
| 14 |
| their efforts to form child-centered church/school |
| 15 |
| partnerships that nurture children, address academic |
| 16 |
| achievement, social behavior, personal development, and foster |
| 17 |
| non-violence in our schools and communities; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 |
| we proclaim October 16-22, 2005 to be One Church One School |
| 21 |
| Community Partnership Week, and encourage all to recognize the |
| 22 |
| importance of inspiring and motivating our children to reach |
| 23 |
| their full potential; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to Bishop Henry M. Williamson, Sr. as an expression |
| 26 |
| of our admiration and esteem.
