HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Dr. A.P. Aguilar, a family practice physician in the Kinmundy, Salem, Illinois area, has retired after 52 years of dedicated service to medicine and 37 years of serving the local community; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Aguilar emigrated from Cuba to Spain and then to the United States; many years ago, a friend named Dr. Rubio, who came from the same town in Cuba, invited him to come to Kinmundy to practice medicine; and

WHEREAS, While leading a very quiet life, he gave a lifetime of service to his fellow man; and

WHEREAS, He lives with his wife, Isabell, and is the father of four children (three surviving, one deceased); he also has two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Aguilar will spend his retirement gardening, reading, and playing with his grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we thank Dr. Aguilar for his many years of dedicated service and join with the residents of the community and the Salem Township Hospital administration and staff to wish him the best of health and happiness in the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. A.P. Aguilar as an expression of our utmost admiration and esteem.
