HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Donald L. Maue, Mayor of Breese, on being elected Illinois Municipal League President for 2005-2006; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Maue is the husband of Julia and the father of five children; he has eleven grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Maue has served as Mayor of Breese since 1989; he was first elected alderman in 1975; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Maue has served on the Breese Chamber of Commerce, the Knights of Columbus, and the Breese Historical Society; he is the president of the Illinois Tax Increment Association, where he served as secretary from 1997 to 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Maue has received the Public Service Award from the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency; he is on the American Public Power Honor Roll; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Maue has served on the Illinois Municipal League Board of Directors since 2001 and the League's Executive Committee since 2003; he was elected Illinois Municipal League President at the organization's ninety-second annual conference; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mayor Donald L. Maue on becoming the 2005-2006 President of the Illinois Municipal League; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mayor Donald L. Maue as a token of our respect and esteem.
