1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
3 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
4 we urge the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to
5 complete a study on the effects of extending Daylight Savings
6 Time to the months when Illinois normally would observe Central
7 Standard Time; and be it further

8     RESOLVED, That the study include, without limitation, the
9 effects of extending Daylight Savings Time on energy,
10 education, recreation, agriculture, economic development,
11 utilities, crime, mental health, business, finance, and the
12 general operation of State and local governments; and be it
13 further

14     RESOLVED, That the Department submit a report of its
15 findings and recommendations to the General Assembly on or
16 before June 1, 2006; and be it further

17     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be delivered to
18 the Director of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
