SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Norbert Dean "Dean" Nester of Belleville on Monday, February 14, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Nester was born on May 18, 1943, in Belleville to Norbert R. Nester and Evelyn E. (nee Gundlach) Nester; he graduated from Cathedral High School, St. Louis University, and St. Louis University Law School; he married Carol J. Graves on August 18, 1967, in Belleville; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Nester was an attorney in private practice; he was a member of the St. Clair County Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, tennis, and horse racing; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Norbert Dean "Dean" Nester has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Carol J. Nester; his son, Jeff (Tricia) Nester; his mother, Evelyn E. Nester; his grandson, Brody Nester; his brother, Gary T. (Janice) Nester; his sister, Mary "Joy" (Edwin) Ailes; his mother-in-law, Orleen Graves; his special uncle and aunt, Virgil and Shirl Eichenseer; his aunts, Rose Marie Gundlach and Mary Sweeney; and his many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; he was preceded in death by his father; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Norbert Dean "Dean" Nester, and we extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy for their loss.
