SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of William J. Niemietz of North Chicago on Sunday, June 5, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born May 15, 1945 in Waukegan; he was employed as a Repair Technician at Hewlett-Packard, Agilent, and then Phillips; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Niemietz was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary of Waukegan, Flotilla 3-5, and the Polish Legion of American Veterans, and he was an accordion player for the Polka Lads Band; and

WHEREAS, The passing of William J. Niemietz has been deeply felt by many, especially his children, Laura Lubbers, Jackie (Darelle Nigh) Niemietz, and Roberta Niemietz; his grandchild, Kelly Lubbers; his brothers, Joe (Sue) Niemietz, Tim (Cheryl) Niemietz, and Ray (Lisa) Niemietz; and his significant other, Jeri Schroeder; he was previously married to Sandra Niemietz; he was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Olga (nee Maslowski) Niemietz; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William J. Niemietz, and we extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
