SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Adonis Watson, formerly of Anna, on Tuesday, June 7, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on September 9, 1918, in Anna, to Dee and Vica (Young) Brimm; she married Paul Watson on August 19, 1930; he preceded her in death on September 18, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Adonis Watson has been deeply felt by many, especially her daughters, Donna Farrell, Pat and husband Larry Skipworth, and Linda and husband Greg Purdom; her four grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Virginia and husband Earl Miles and Eleanor Ketchie; her sister-in-law, Helen Brimm; and her nieces, nephews, and other relatives; she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Mary Whitney; her brother, Charles Brimm; and her brother-in-law, Irvin Ketchie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Adonis Watson, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
