SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of David Roland "Wolfe" Nystrom of Waukegan on December 3, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Nystrom was born March 8, 1958, in Waukegan, the son of Lorraine and Roland "Salty" Nystrom; and

WHEREAS, He married Valorie MacGruder on September 3, 1988, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Waukegan, he was employed for 19 years at the Lake County Sheriff's Department and for the past several years was a sergeant; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Moose Lodge 667; and

WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer, a fierce Bears fan, a proud stockholder of Captain Morgan, and a faithful friend and a loyal advisor to many; and

WHEREAS, David Nystrom was the loving husband of Valorie; the devoted father of Derek and Devin; the loving brother of Bonnie (Frank) Long; the dear brother-in-law of Greg (Cindy Davis) Ramsey, Jeff (Trina) Ramsey, and Robert MacGruder Jr.; the dear son-in-law of Robert (Lea) MacGruder; the fond uncle of several nieces and nephews, including Niki and Justin Paglusch and Josh Ramsey; and the special nephew to Betty Berggren; he was also survived by his special friends, Kenny (Cookie) Bain, Tom Paglusch, and Sue Nordmark, the Meadow Court Neighborhood Association, and many other family and friends too numerous to name; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David Roland "Wolfe" Nystrom and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
