SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of John Wayne Moran of Waukegan on May 31, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born on May 29, 1945, in Highland Park; he valiantly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Moran was a member of the Waukegan Police Department for 26 years; he was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Waukegan Police Association; and

WHEREAS, His passing has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Carol (nee Briquelet); his children, Jennifer, Michael, Ryan, and Jacqueline Moran; his mother, Alice "Gerry" (George) Grum; and his siblings, Wendell Moran and Lynn Tanner; he was the nephew of Bunt, the late Howie (Livia), and Rich (Patricia) Moran and the uncle of Alicia, Elena, Monica, and Ashley; his father, Jack Wilford Moran, preceded him in death; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Wayne Moran, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
