SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Glada Cagle of Creal Springs on July 16, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Cagle was born on December 9, 1938, in Urbana, to Herbert and Imogene (Hammond) Mathews; she married Thomas (Frank) Cagle on July 25, 1986, at Creal Springs Northern Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, She loved to play bingo and garden; she was a member of the Creal Springs VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Marion Eagles Auxiliary, and the Carrier Mills American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; her laugh was infectious and she will be missed by all; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ricky Thome; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Glada Cagle is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband; her daughter, Barbara and Rodney Pritchett; her son, Jim Thome; her grandchildren, Stacy and Nate Eaton, Josh and Aaron Pritchett, and Sara Thome; her great-grandchild, Conner Eaton; and her brothers, Earl and Virginia Lane, Bill and Barbara Lane, and Larry and Mary Hampel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our most sincere regret at the passing of Glada Cagle and extend our condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
