SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Jayne E. Border of Benton,
4 formerly of West Frankfort, on July 8, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born July 21, 1947, in West Frankfort, to
6 Roy E. Patton and Dorothy M. (Sloan) Patton; she married John
7 H. Border on July 24, 1992, in West Frankfort; and
 
8     WHEREAS, She received a masters degree in education from
9 Southern Illinois University; she taught foreign languages and
10 English at Frankfort Community High School; and
 
11     WHEREAS, She was a member of Second Baptist Church in West
12 Frankfort and had taught Sunday school for 30 years and sang in
13 the church choir; and
 
14     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The passing of Jayne E. Border is felt by all who
16 knew and loved her, especially her husband, John; her
17 daughters, Leigh Walen and husband Gerard, Kathleen Dial and
18 husband Matt, and Kristine Cordts and husband Scott; her
19 grandchildren, Hannah and Seth Dial, Julia, Isaac, and
20 Charlotte Cordts, and Grace Walen; her stepdaughters, Cathy
21 Terry and husband Chris and Connie Tygett and husband Tim; her
22 six step-grandchildren; her sister, Peggy Trapani and husband
23 Cris; and her nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
26 Jayne E. Border and extend our sincerest condolences to her
27 family, friends, and community; and be it further
 
28     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
