SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Peter Joseph Paulson of Sayner, Wisconsin, a former resident of Libertyville and Waukegan, Illinois, on November 17, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paulson, who was 70 years old at the time of his death, graduated from Campion Jesuit High School and John Carroll University; he and his family owned and operated the Parkway Restaurant in Waukegan for 54 years until 1999; he served in the U.S. Army and Reserves, reaching the rank of Captain; he was a past member of St. Joseph Church in Libertyville, St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan, and the Glen Flora County Club; he was more recently an active member of Plum Lake Golf Club in Sayner, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Peter Joseph Paulson is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Jane (nee Corcoran), to whom he was married for 48 years; his children, Martin (Linda) Paulson, Margaret (Brian) Rooney, Fr. Brian Paulson S.J., Claire (Kirk) Morabito, Thomas (Susan) Paulson, and Kristen (Michael) Watson; his grandchildren, Elise and Kevin Paulson, Ryan, Colin, and Daniel Morabito, Emily, Benjamin and Abigail Paulson, Erin and Jane Watson, and Kevin and Kaitlin Wright; his sisters and brother, Joan (Paul) Ochs, Paula (Joseph) Brennan, and Roy (Joanne) Paulson; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane (nee Corcoran) and Dr. Edward Leslie; and his twenty nieces and nephews; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Paulson was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy (1970) and Lucille (2003) Paulson; and

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Peter Joseph Paulson, and we extend to his friends and family our sincerest condolences; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Joseph Paulson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
