SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Janice Inez Hall of Chicago on Monday, January 9, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall was born on November 21, 1947 to the late Wynell McDaniel and Jerry Spells; she was the oldest of three siblings; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall was a strong believer in Christ; she professed this belief in her words and in her passion for writing; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall had an outgoing personality and expressed this personality artistically; she loved to write, sing, dance, draw, sew, and "create"; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Janice Inez Hall has been deeply felt by many, especially her loving husband, Robert "Richard" Reed; her daughter, Tatyana McClain; her loving sister, Mazola Steadman-Walker (Benard); her brother, Joseph Smith; her cousins who were raised with her as sisters, Alma Lewis and Chris Ridgnal; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Janice Inez Hall, and we extend our sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy for their loss.
