SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Ruth Breitwieser of
4 Naperville on Saturday, December 31, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Ruth Shoger was born on March 12, 1908, in
6 Naperville; she attended the Copenhagen School, which is now
7 Naper Settlement, Granger School, and was a member of the
8 Naperville High School class of 1927; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mrs. Breitwieser and her husband, Ralph, were the
10 founders of Russell's Dry Cleaners, one of downtown
11 Naperville's longest running businesses; she was a member of
12 the DuPage County Homemakers Extension Association for 67
13 years, a member of the Naperville Organ Club, and a member of
14 Grace United Methodist Church for more than 70 years; and
 
15     WHEREAS, She was also a member of a china-painting group in
16 Naperville for over 50 years; she painted full sets of china
17 for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Ruth Breitwieser has been deeply
19 felt by many, especially her sons, Russell Breitwieser and
20 Roger (wife Karen) Breitwieser; her brother, Ward (wife Ann)
21 Shoger; her sister-in-law, Rhoberta Shoger; her five
22 grandchildren; and her nine great-grandchildren; therefore, be
23 it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
26 Ruth Breitwieser, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
27 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
28 further
 
29     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
2 sympathy.
