SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of George Victor Bucher Sr., of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Mounds, on Sunday February, 5, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Bucher was born September 30, 1925 in Mounds, the son of the late Louie Bucher and Lena (Biessingert) Bucher; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Bucher was a Catholic, an Army Veteran of World War II, and a retired employee from World Pool Company in Evansville, after 20 years; he was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elsie (Smoot) Bucher; and by his brothers, William and Paul Bucher; and

WHEREAS, The passing of George Bucher is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife, Mae (Winters) Bucher; his daughter, Karen McCamish; his son, George V. Bucher Jr.; his stepdaughters, Marlyn Miller, and Brenda Aponta; his sister, Mary Lou Adams; his brother, Tom Bucher; his grandchildren, Ondrea Timme, Jason, and Chris; his great-granddaughter, Ashley Underwood; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of George Victor Bucher Sr. and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
