SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Ray F. Henneman on January
4 31, 2005, a long-time Park Ridge dentist, dental educator, and
5 husband of City Clerk Betty Henneman; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born in 1930; he was a graduate of Loyola
7 University Dental School and taught dentistry there from 1956
8 to 1992; he was a member of the American College of Dentistry
9 and served in the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines from 1954
10 to 1956; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Ray Henneman was a busy dentist for 43 years in
12 Park Ridge, but he was never too busy to miss participating in
13 many civic activities; he was active in the Park Ridge Civic
14 Chorus, sang in the choir at Mary, Seat of Wisdom and was
15 active in the Christian Family Movement; he was also a leader
16 in the Park Ridge Seniors organization and was a member of the
17 city's Sister Cities Commission; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He was a very friendly, cordial man who supported
19 his wife in her many civic endeavors and also had time for his
20 career and his own interests; he always had a positive attitude
21 and a positive word for people; and
 
22     WHEREAS, The death of Ray Henneman has left a deep void in
23 the lives and hearts of his family and many friends to whom he
24 brought happiness and affection; and
 
25     WHEREAS, The passing of Ray Henneman is felt by all who
26 knew and loved him, especially his wife, Betty (nee Wellner);
27 his mother, Gertrude; his children, Jeff (Kathie), Paula (John)
28 Beals, Janet (Steve) Franke, David, and Amy (Michael) Davidson;
29 his eleven grandchildren, Nick, Jamie, Meredith, Abby, Ian,
30 Cayley, Jenna, Cara, Megan, Andrew, and Elizabeth; his sister,

1 Marcia (Everette) Lefler; his uncle, Anthony Delke; and his
2 many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that even as the death of
5 Ray F. Henneman is mourned, we give thanks for the blessing of
6 his life and extend our sincere condolences to his family and
7 friends; and be it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
10 sympathy.
