SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Doris "Pat" Vanderventer of Waukegan on Friday, June 2, 2006; and

WHEREAS, She was born on February 14, 1929, in Fall River, Wisconsin, and moved to Waukegan when she was 17; she married the love of her life, Donald Vanderventer, on September 16, 1950; and

WHEREAS, She was a loving wife and mother and found happiness in spending time with her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Doris "Pat" Vanderventer has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Don; her children, Don (Mary Ellen) Vanderventer, Scott (Cherri) Vanderventer, Jim (Nan) Vanderventer, Donna (Tom) Lee, and Leslie Vanderventer; her grandchildren, Katie, Cory, Dillon, Scotty, and Kelli; her great-grandchild, Wesley; her sister-in-law; her two nieces; and her nephew; she was preceded in death by her father, Albert Nehring; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Doris "Pat" Vanderventer, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
