SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jon D. Kirkpatrick of Milan, who passed away on March 17, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Jon Kirkpatrick was born in Moline to Lonny and Margaret (Simoens) Kirkpatrick on April 5, 1968; he served in the U.S. Army and married Lori Waddell in April of 1995; he married Dawn Smith in North Liberty, Iowa on May 5, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Jon Kirkpatrick was a HVAC technician for A1 Morris Heating and Cooling in Davenport, Iowa; and

WHEREAS, Jon Kirkpatrick enjoyed fishing, cooking, camping, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Jon Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by his father, Lonny Kirkpatrick; and

WHEREAS, Jon Kirkpatrick is survived by his wife, Dawn; his mother, Margaret Burrows; his children, Amanda Knorr, Dustin (Ali) Kirkpatrick, Cody Kirkpatrick (Amanda Krider), Shaunee Kirkpatrick, and Hannah Kirkpatrick; several grandchildren; and his brother, Scott (Jenni) Kirkpatrick; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jon D. Kirkpatrick and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jon Kirkpatrick as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
