AN ACT concerning State historic sites.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency Act is amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3405/10.5 new)

Sec. 10.5. State historic sites required to be open. The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency must keep the following State historic sites open to the public 7 days per week:

(1) Black Hawk State Historic Site;

(2) Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site;

(3) Fort Kaskaskia State Historic Site;

(4) U.S. Grant Home State Historic Site;

(5) Lincoln-Herndon Law Office State Historic Site;

(6) Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site;

(7) Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site;

(8) Lincoln's Tomb State Historic Site;

(9) Pierre Menard Home State Historic Site; and

(10) Old State Capitol State Historic Site.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
