HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jim Anderson on the occasion of his retirement as President of First Midwest Bank in Danville on March 31, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Jim Anderson graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in history; after coming home from college in 1975, he spotted a new building being constructed on Gilbert Street in Danville for what was then known as Iroquois Federal Savings and Loan; after inquiring for work, he began his new job with the bank, ascending the ranks until he finally landed the position of President, a position he served in with great integrity; and

WHEREAS, Despite the great work that Jim Anderson and First Midwest Bank have done for the community, Mr. Anderson considers his greatest accomplishment to be the development of the people he has worked with, a symbol of the quality he has so humbly brought to the institution; and

WHEREAS, Jim Anderson plans to spend his retirement fishing, staying involved in his community, and spending time with his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Jim Anderson serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois, a mantle he will certainly continue after his retirement; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jim Anderson on the occasion of his retirement and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jim Anderson as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
