HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ryan Ornstein on
4 the occasion of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy
5 Scout Troop 73 in Grayslake; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Ryan Ornstein is a junior at Grayslake North High
7 School; he is an accomplished athlete, playing center for the
8 Knights' football team and left field for the Knights' baseball
9 team; he is also a member of the Student Advisory Board for the
10 Illinois State Board of Education and the Fox Valley Conference
11 leadership panel; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Ryan Ornstein has been a dedicated Boy Scout since
13 the age of 10, when his picture appeared as the top popcorn
14 salesman in the organization; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Ryan Ornstein's service project, which he
16 completed to gain the rank of Eagle Scout, was the construction
17 of playground at the Early Education Center for Round Lake
18 District 116, where his mother works; with the help of over 500
19 volunteer hours and $22,000 worth of total donations, Mr.
20 Ornstein was able to make a playground that many children enjoy
21 on a daily basis; and

1     WHEREAS, Ryan Ornstein will participate in his Eagle
2 Ceremony on April 6, 2008 at Shepherd of the Lakes Church in
3 Grayslake; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Ryan Ornstein should be very proud of the hard
5 work and dedication that has brought him this great
6 achievement; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9 congratulate Ryan Ornstein on the occasion of achieving the
10 rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and
11 happiness in the future; and be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to Ryan Ornstein as a symbol of our esteem and
14 respect.
