HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the staff and residents of The Village at Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst on the 20th anniversary of the community; and

WHEREAS, The 38-acre campus of The Village of Victory Lakes is a retirement community located on a picturesque setting in Lindenhurst; and

WHEREAS, Residents can enjoy coffee and freshly baked pastries in the country store; there is a bank and a Great Room, with residents involved in card games, television programs, and lively discussion; and

WHEREAS, A beauty shop, an arts and crafts room, and a computer center are on one level of the 30,000 square foot Village Center; and

WHEREAS, Residents enjoy peaceful surroundings, a quiet environment, and a friendly staff ready to help them in any situation; and

WHEREAS, As a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), residents can spend the best part of their lives at The Village, moving between independent living, assisted living, and nursing home care based on their changing needs; the extensive health care services also include rehabilitation and therapies, respite, and Alzheimer's care; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate everyone involved with The Village at Victory Lakes and wish them the best on this special occasion; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Mary Riggs, Executive Director, as a symbol of our respect.
