HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Rosemary Garrett of Chicago on her retirement from the Chicago Park District, where she served as a Playground Supervisor for the Rosenblum/Horace Mann School Park from March 2004 to November 2007; and

WHEREAS, Her many duties as Playground Supervisor included organizing activities for children from the ages of 6 through 12 for the Park Kids Program, scheduling staff for the various activities, ordering supplies and equipment, and directing the Day Camp Program; and

WHEREAS, In the area of office administration she was responsible for preparing attendance reports, collecting and depositing monies for programs, preparing various reports for the organization, and keeping logs for the park; and

WHEREAS, She also worked in other parks during her career, including Bradley Park, Gately Park, Palmer Park, Midway Plaisance Skating Rink, Robert Taylor Park, Fuller Park, Ogden Park, Jackson Park, and Tuley Park; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Garrett has shown a dedication and committment to the lives of children and will be greatly missed from the Chicago City Parks; she will now have time to enjoy life with her husband, Leonard, her children, and her grandchild; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Rosemary Garrett on her retirement and wish her much happiness in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rosemary Garrett as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
