HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Robert Vorisek on the occasion of his eightieth birthday; and

WHEREAS, Robert Vorisek was born on June 19, 1928; and

WHEREAS, He is a 22 year veteran of the United States Army; he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel; and he served in Vietnam with the Vietnamese Infantry Division; and

WHEREAS, He is the retired Vice President of the 1st National Bank of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He has served as a Precinct Committeeman since 1972; he served fifteen years as a McHenry County Board member from 1972 to 1976 and from 1982 to 1992; and he was a driving force in establishing the McHenry County Veterans Assistance Commission; and

WHEREAS, In addition, he served as the Algonquin Township Supervisor from 1989 to 1993 and on the Mental Health Board (708 Board) from 1992 to 2006; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Robert Vorisek on this momentous occasion; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Robert Vorisek as a symbol of our respect.
