HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kenny Sims on his retirement from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston on February 28, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Kenny Mack Sims is a native of Charleston and is a veteran of the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Kenny Sims worked for Moores as a pressman for 26 years; in 1994 the plant closed and Kenny began his new career at Eastern Illinois University the next day; he is known for his positive attitude, leadership, and working well with his co-workers; and

WHEREAS, He is an avid golfer, member of the Moose, and a participant in the Arm Chair Football League; he loves to travel and spoil his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, He and his wife, Chris (nee Kaszynski) have two children, Jim and Kristy, and four grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Kyan, and Kamran; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Sims and his wife plan to take a retirement trip to Mobile, Alabama to visit his brother, Frank, and cousin, Drew; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Kenny Sims on his retirement from Eastern Illinois University; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Kenny Sims as a symbol of our esteem.
