HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate John Church on his retirement from the Kendall County Board, and for his years of service to the people of Kendall County; and

WHEREAS, John Church has served on the Board since 1994, and has served as the chairman since 1996; and

WHEREAS, John is a native of Boone County; he has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree from the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois; he is also a graduate of Kishwaukee College in Malta; and

WHEREAS, His career began as an Assistant Extension Adviser in Agriculture in 1976; he moved to Kendall County as Extension Adviser in 1980; and in 1992 he moved to the Rockford Extension Center where he began his current duties; and

WHEREAS, He is a member of the Illinois Extension Agricultural Association, the National Association of County Agricultural Agents, and the Illinois and national chapters of the Soil and Water Conservation Society of America, where he served as an officer, a board member, and committee chairman for each of the organizations; and

WHEREAS, John Church will officially retire on November 30, 2008; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate John Church and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to John Church as a symbol of our respect.
