HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Jacob Luffman of Urbana for his gracious gift of a new bicycle to a 9-year-old boy whose bike was stolen; and

WHEREAS, After a 9-year-old boy's bicycle was stolen at the County Market grocery store in Champaign on October 8, 2008, Jacob Luffman, a third grader at Yankee Ridge Elementary School in Urbana, graciously gave the boy a new bicycle that Mr. Luffman won at the store in August, without payment or presumption of gratitude; and

WHEREAS, Jacob Luffman's parents, Christopher and Melissa, and his brother, Luke, are undoubtedly proud of the incredible generosity and compassion exhibited by young Jacob, as are the members of this body and the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Jacob Luffman for his compassion and kindness and wish him our best in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jacob Luffman as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
