HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Michaele Skowron on her retirement as a Trustee for the Village of Mount Prospect; and

WHEREAS, Michaele W. Skowron has served as a Trustee on the Village Board of Mount Prospect from 1993-1996 and from 1999-2007; and

WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has always demonstrated the highest degree of integrity, compassion, good judgment, and sensitivity in all of her deliberations regarding Village issues, thereby providing leadership and direction to her fellow Board members; and

WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has been vital to the quality of the excellent services provided by the local governments on which she has served, and has been involved in the development of Mount Prospect through her service on the Mount Prospect Citizen Review Committee of the Comprehensive Plan in 1980 and as a member of the Mount Prospect Zoning Board of Appeals from 1990 to 1993; and

WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has consistently displayed her enthusiasm for her community through service, including as a Board member of School District 57 from 1977-1979 and as President of the School Board from 1979-1989, serving on the Mount Prospect Arts Council Steering Committee, Mount Prospect Bicentennial Committee, Mount Prospect 75th Anniversary Committee, Mount Prospect Cable Commission, and as a dedicated member of the Mount Prospect Friends of the Library and Mount Prospect Historical Society; and

WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has worked tirelessly and persistently to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Mt. Prospect and exemplifies the character of a dedicated and caring public servant; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mount Prospect Village Trustee Michaele W. Skowron on the occasion of her retirement and thank her for her dedication to the citizens of Mount Prospect; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Michaele W. Skowron as a token of our respect and esteem with best wishes for an enjoyable and fulfilling retirement.
