HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Lori Lindberg has been broker/owner of American Homes and Investments, Inc., in New Lenox since 1987; and

WHEREAS, Lori has been active in a number of community organizations, including serving as a former director and officer for the Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence, as a past chair of the New Lenox Economic Development Commission, as a member of the Silver Cross Community Trustees, as a member of the Three Rivers Board of Realtors, and as a director of the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce Executive Board; and

WHEREAS, She devoted countless volunteer hours as a member of the New Lenox Historical Society in raising funds which served as a catalyst in the re-opening on October 22, 2006 of Schmuhl School, a one-room schoolhouse, as a local historical site and a lasting history for the New Lenox community; and

WHEREAS, The New Lenox Chamber of Commerce has acknowledged her countless contributions to the New Lenox business community which have resulted in the development of many commercial projects in the area and her volunteer work by awarding her "Citizen of the Year for 2006; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Lori Lindberg for receiving the "Citizen of the Year for 2006" award from the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Lori Lindberg as a symbol of our respect.
