HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Evelyn Kreher of Freeburg on her retirement from Freeburg Township on March 30, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher was born on January 31, 1938; her parents were Louis and Stella Kehrer; she graduated from Freeburg High School; she married Joseph C. Kreher on April 4, 1956; and

WHEREAS, Over the years Evelyn Kreher has worked at Wiegmanns; Spiegel, Neff Farm Equipment, and Vivianos Restaurant; and she worked for Freeburg Township as an Administrative Assistant; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher has been very active in volunteer activities; she is a member of the St. Joseph Sesquicentennial Committee; she is involved with the St. Joseph Altar Sodality Womans Club and Community Outreach programs; she is a Team Leader for the Neighborhood Watch; she is a past member of the St. Joseph Parish Council and has served as an Election Judge; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher has donated much of her time assisting seniors in the Freeburg area; she has been actively involved with the Programs and Services for Older Persons Program with the Illinois Department of Aging; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher is the mother of three sons, Kenneth Kreher, Joseph Kreher Jr., and the late Edward Kreher; she has seven grandchildren, Eric, Julie, Brian, Daniel, Amy, Kelli, and Blake Kreher; and

WHEREAS, Evelyn Kreher plans to continue her efforts working with area seniors during her retirement; she will also spend more time with her family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Evelyn Kreher on her retirement from Freeburg Township and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Evelyn Kreher.
