HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Pastor Allen Eaton on his many accomplishment throughout the years; and

WHEREAS, He was born in Clinton, Missouri to Buck and Margie Eaton and has two younger brothers, Don and Kent; and

WHEREAS, Allen Eaton is a graduate of Clinton High School, with a Bachelors from Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and a Masters from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Eaton's past community service includes serving on the Board of Directors at St. Alexius Hospital, serving on the Committee on Elder Abuse at Kenneth Young Mental Health Center, serving on various positions with the Schaumburg Clergy Council, serving as Night Chaplain for Northwest Community Hospital and many other volunteer experiences; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Eaton formerly served as the Pastor of the Kingsville Baptist Church in Kingsville, Missouri, from September 1972 to February 1976; as Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bellevue, Nebraska, from February 1976 to March 1979, and as the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Hoffman Estates from March 1970 to May 1997; he currently serves as Senior Chaplain with Northwest Corridor Chaplaincy Services (Police and Fire Chaplain for Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg) and Pastor and Director of the Funeral Ministry at Willow Creek Community Church; and

WHEREAS, Allen Eaton is married to Vicki Mullins Eaton and is the proud father of Alex and Andrea; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Pastor Allen Eaton on his many accomplishments as a pastor; we thank him for his hard work and wish him continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Pastor Allen Eaton as a symbol of our admiration and respect.
