1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Maria Barksdale on
4 being named the commencement speaker for Governors State
5 University for the 2007 Spring Commencement and for receiving
6 her Masters degree from Governors State University; and

7     WHEREAS, Ms. Barksdale is from Park Forest and has worked
8 hard to achieve this honor; therefore, be it

9     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11 congratulate Maria Barksdale and wish her the best in her
12 future endeavors; and be it further

13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to Maria Barksdale as a symbol of our respect.
