HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Barbara A. Williams, principal of Williams Multiplex School in Chicago, on her retirement in June of 2007; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Williams began her career with Chicago Public Schools as a teacher at the Hyde Park High School; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Williams also served as assistant principal and director of the homeless education program at Williams School, becoming principal in 2003; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Williams is well known in the community as an educator and administrator, possessing both professional expertise and a personal approach; and

WHEREAS, After 37 years of dedicated service to the public school children of Chicago, Barbara Williams will be greatly missed by the students and faculty of Williams Multiplex School; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Barbara A. Williams on her retirement from the Chicago Public Schools and wish her good luck and good health in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Barbara A. Williams as a symbol of our esteem.
