HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Charles E. Frank for his leadership, vision, and commitment to the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago and the entire Jewish community; and

WHEREAS, Charles E. Frank serves in numerous leadership roles within the community, having served on the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago Board of Directors for nearly three decades; he is currently Vice President of the Jewish Community Center's Board and a member of the Jewish Community Center's Executive Committee, and is a member of the Jewish Community Center's Endowment Foundation Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, He has served as General Chairman of the Jewish Community Center's Benefit Campaign, General Chairman of the Jewish Community Center's Heritage Society, General Chairman of the Jewish Community Center's "Z" Frank Apachi Day Camp Committee, and Co-President of the Jewish Community Center North Central Region, and has chaired and served on numerous significant Jewish Community Center planning committees; and

WHEREAS, In addition, Mr. Frank chaired the Jewish United Fund's Automotive Division campaign for two years; his civic commitments have included service as Vice President of the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, member of the YMCA Metropolitan Board of Directors, and member of North Shore Congregation Israel; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Frank is a Trustee and former officer and Executive Committee member of the Sierra Club Foundation, and is a member of the Sierra Club National Advisory Council; he currently chairs the Sierra Club's Advancement Committee in the Midwest Area; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Frank is active in numerous community, political, and environmental organizations; he and his wife are members of the Kenyon College Parents' Advisory Council and Chairs of the Student Affairs Committee; Mr. Frank is President of "Z" Frank Chevrolet and KIA; he earned his B.A. from George Washington University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He and his wife, Debbie, live in Highland Park and have four children, Nicole, Jana, Zachary, and Melanie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Charles Frank for his leadership, vision, and commitment to the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago and the entire Jewish community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Charles Frank as a symbol of our respect and admiration.
