HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dawn David, formerly of Romeoville and Chicago, who passed away on June 13, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Dawn David was born in Chicago on October 26, 1961; she grew up in Romeoville until she moved to Michigan in 2002 to marry Matthew David, Sr. in 2003; and

WHEREAS, Dawn David passed away of an embolism lodged in her heart; through the donation of her organs, Dawn was able to save the lives of five individuals; her eyes helped a person from Arlington Heights and a person from Chicago to see; her kidneys helped two people get off dialysis; and her liver saved the life of a fifty-seven-year-old woman; and

WHEREAS, Dawn David was an avid Amateur Radio operator with the call sign K8DMD; she enjoyed talking on the radio and was on the air, always letting her husband know that she was safe when she was on the road; and

WHEREAS, Dawn David loved to cook and spend time with her children; and

WHEREAS, Dawn David is survived by her husband Matthew David Sr.; her children, Timothy Hicks II and Clarissa Hicks; her step-children, Matthew David, Jr. and Jeremy David; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dawn David; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dawn David as a symbol of our sympathy.
