HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of the Illinois House of Representatives welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of this State who make outstanding contributions to society; and

WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Steve K. Admonis has announced his retirement as Chief of the Channahon Police Department after 20 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Steve K. Admonis has been in law enforcement for 35 years, having served in various police departments before joining the Channahon Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Since becoming Channahon's full-time police chief in 1988, Steve K. Admonis has accomplished the 3 goals he set for the department; the goals include increasing the department's manpower to 20 full-time officers, adding squad cars to the department, and improving the department's radio communications; and

WHEREAS, Steve K. Admonis' energetic and active leadership and his devotion to his duty and to his community have earned him the respect of all who have had the privilege of knowing him; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend and applaud Steve K. Admonis as he retires as Chief of the Channahon Police Department and extend to him our sincere best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this preamble and resolution be presented to Steve K. Admonis as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
