HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Glenn Sebright on the occasion of his retirement from the Hanover Park Fire Department after thirty years of service; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright began his service to our country during the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright started working for the Village of Hanover Park as a public works employee and as a volunteer fireman for the Ontarioville Fire Protection District in 1977; he became a Paramedic/Firefighter in 1981; he began working full time for the Fire District in 1982, continuing his employment there after the fire department became a Municipal Fire Department in 2000; his efforts have been tireless and enduring as a career Firefighter/Paramedic; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright has been the Muscular Dystrophy Association Chairman for many years; his devotion to the MDA has resulted in over $120,000 collected for Jerry's kids since 1992; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright and his wife, Sue, have five children, Katie, Kelly, Brooke, Justin, and Fred, and a grandson, Nicholas; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Sebright's dedication to his profession and his willingness to serve his community makes him a model for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Glenn Sebright on the occasion of his retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Glenn Sebright as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
