HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the Boy
3 Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of Eagle
4 Scout; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mark Alois Juretschke of Boy Scout Troop 222, in
6 Naperville, earned his Eagle Scout recognition on November 26,
7 2007; and
 
8     WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young man
9 must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a
10 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in
11 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Mark was successful in painting six bathrooms at
13 All Saints Catholic Academy in Naperville; together with his
14 volunteers, a total of 216 volunteer hours were logged; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Mark Juretschke has earned a total of forty-nine
16 merit badges, including the twenty-one required to become an
17 Eagle Scout; and
 
18     WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Mark joins an elite and
19 honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among its members
20 an extraordinary number of this nation's great leaders in

1 business, government, education, and other sectors of society;
2 and
 
3     WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout
4 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his family, his
5 Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8 that we join his family and friends in congratulating Mark
9 Alois Juretschke upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle
10 Scout, and we commend him upon the unswerving dedication to
11 excellence that is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it
12 further
 
13     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14 presented to Eagle Scout Mark Alois Juretschke as an expression
15 of our respect and esteem.
