HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Angela and Pat Devaney of Champaign on the birth of their first son, Martin Raymond Devaney; and

WHEREAS, He was born at 12:49 a.m. on January 28, 2008 at Carle Hospital; he weighed 9 pounds and 9 ounces and was 22.5 inches long; and

WHEREAS, Pat Devaney is a member of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois Executive Board and Captain with the Champaign Fire Department; he is currently President of the Champaign Firefighters Local 1260 of the Illinois Associated Fire Fighters; he was also elected to represent the Central District as the legislative representative in 2004, and serves as the American Fire Fighters International PAC Treasurer; and

WHEREAS, Angela Devaney is a speech therapist at Health Services Incorporated in Champaign; and

WHEREAS, Angela and Pat Devaney have been married since July of 1999; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Angela and Pat Devaney as they welcome Martin into their lives; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Angela and Pat Devaney.
