HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Flora High School Wolves senior fullback/linebacker Jordan Luttrell on the occasion of winning the UPS Intercept Challenge; and

WHEREAS, Jordan Luttrell won the UPS Intercept Challenge through a video submitted by his uncle Robert Boose, which showed a one-handed touchdown saving interception during a football game against the Martinsville Blue Streaks on October 5, 2007; a total of 176 videos were submitted during the Challenge; he qualified for the final 8 on December 17, 2007 and the voting remained open until January 4, 2008; and

WHEREAS, For winning the UPS Intercept Challenge, Jordan Luttrell will receive a tailgate party with former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning on Sunday, February 24 in Flora; Mr. Boose will receive $25,000 from UPS, autographed Manning memorabilia, and a $10,000 donation to the amateur football team of his choice, which he will donate to the Flora Wolves football program; and

WHEREAS, Jordan Luttrell is a senior at Flora High School; his parents are Tony and Crystal Luttrell of Xenia; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jordan Luttrell on the occasion of winning the UPS Intercept Challenge and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jordan Luttrell as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
