1     AN ACT concerning regulation.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Landscape Architecture Act of 1989
5 is amended by adding Section 12.5 as follows:

6     (225 ILCS 315/12.5 new)
7     (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2010)
8     Sec. 12.5. Continuing education. The Department may adopt
9 rules of continuing education for persons registered under this
10 Act. The Department must consider the recommendations of the
11 Board in establishing the guidelines for the continuing
12 education requirements. Rules adopted under this Section apply
13 to any person seeking renewal or restoration of registration
14 under this Act. The continuing education shall consist of at
15 least 6 hours per year and may include relevant courses offered
16 in various formats or mediums.
