Amends the Professional Boxing Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning permits for boxing contests.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Professional Boxing Act is amended by changing Section 7 as follows:

(225 ILCS 105/7) (from Ch. 111, par. 5007)

(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2012)

Sec. 7. In order to conduct a boxing contest in this State, a promoter shall obtain a permit issued by the the Department in accordance with this Act and the rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto. This permit shall authorize one or more contests or exhibitions. A permit issued under this Act is not transferable.
